April 21, 2007

I am keeping a photo log of the pictures of the fire, the aftermath and the rebuild process. They can be viewed here:

We worked on the foundation today and it is almost done. There is one more wall to be put up and then it has to set for a few days. We will begin building the house by the end of the week I guess. It is pretty exciting to see it all come about, even if the circumstances behind it suck a root! There are tons of pictures today.... I will write more tomorrow, I am exhausted!

Every time I go to take a picture of Austin lately, he sticks his tongue out. I think its because I am always sticking mine out at him. Teeheee...

The concrete slab, blocks at the ready. We spent all day on Wed clearing the slab's remaining debris and making sure it was pristine as so..

Today after they finished laying the foundation blocks. Hard, Very hot work!

This is the newest prison facility in the state of Kentucky. Four foot high fencing with an electric charge of 9kazillion volts, this modern day facitility boasts razor wire surrounding the perimiter, a guard tower with a trained professional in command of a state of the art Bean Bag pellet rifle. While riots are few and far between, when a riot does occur, the guard is trained to fire instantly into the buttocks of the offending prisoner. Meals are served sporadically and revolve around nap time. The excersise yard is intended to occupy and educate the modern prisoner with play dough, bubble wands and a variety of sand toys. Inmates are allowed unlimitted usage of the sandbox area, ride on toys and bubble wands.

Have you ever tried typing with this obstacle in your way? This is how Miss Kitty (AKA IK, AKA Inside Kitty) likes to sit, no matter how much I beg her to sit NEXT to me.. she pings back into this position like a frigging boomerang.

Picture 100
This is Buddy the big headed wonder dog with his two Cheehuaha mascots. I swear they worship him and he thinks of them as two little doggy toys.

Picture 101
Those floppy ears of Buddy's are really great for the Cheehuahuas to hang off of while running through the yard at Mock Ten... They are also good for taking flight and trying to clear the top rung of the fence.. Although he has never reached freedom, he keeps on plucking at it.

Baby Copperhead (so I am told) on my front porch! Bill almost stepped on it on the way outside to get the mail. It is missing its head, which is just fine in my book seeing where it was found!
