Movie Reviews: My opinions to these movie’s as to whether I would recommend buying it, or renting it on a 99 Cent day. Eragon: Buy it… Especially for the kids Awesome movie. The special effects were fabulous, I want a cute little baby dragon! Joseph loved it so much he has watched it about twenty times. Everyone in the family loved it, and it is a movie without all the “CLOSE YOUR EYES AND DON’T PEEK” moments. Children of Man: 99 Cent day rental. The premise for the movie was good, the movie itself was pretty good, not great… but the ending… well, it sucked! Bill’s reaction to the movie was; “Is that it?” I think that sums it up myself. Freedom Writers: Buy it The best movie by far that I have seen in ages. The movie has a great point, the story is awesome and I just simply loved it! 300: Rent it It was an ok movie. I think I need to watch it again though. I dozed off a few times and think I must have missed some important stuff. We are Marshall: Buy it Great movie, I highly recommend this one too. It was a real tear jerker and I only dislike watching those when Bill is around cause he watches me to see if I am going to cry… but this movie was great! All in all the movies we saw were good, most lived up to the critics reviews and other than Children of Man, we were not disappointed. We went on Saturday and found Laura’s Easter dress and her bathing suit for her Class Trip. Last week when we were looking for her suit, she had gotten the “bathing suit depression” and was swearing that she wasn’t going to go. Her friends are all stick figures and she feels so out of place, especially in a bathing suit. I of course, keep trying to tell her that while her friends may have a 13 and 14 year old’s body, she does not. She is more ‘mature’ in that respect and I know how she feels. She has the body type that I had growing up and she feels the same way that I used to. I look back on it and I used to think that I was huge, beastly. Now looking back, I realize that Damn, I was skinny and boy if I could go back…. But, of course with me being her Mom, I have no idea what I am talking about and cannot possibly know how she feels! *teens* Anyway, when she got in her funk, I told her “LoLo, you cannot find a bathing suit in the first store you walk into, bathing suits are something you just have to search for, try on a thousand and eventually you will find the PERFECT one. Trust me, it is out there… you will have the perfect suit and you will be saying “you were right Mom”. Eyes were rolling out of control, I assure you. Saturday we were shopping for her Easter dress and after the twelfth store, we found one she loved, ‘Wrap it up, quick before she changes her mind’ I said as she was changing back into her clothing. While the girl was ringing it up, I glance over and see the cutest swim suit… the Hawaiian style boy shorts and a bikini type top, with the cover up jacket. I ran over, grabbed her size and threw it over the top of the door. “Try this on Laura!” I called out as I ran back over to pay for her Easter outfit. As I walked back towards the dressing room I hear the magic words…”Its so cute!! I LOVE THIS ONE Mom!!” She opened the door and it was perfect, we wound up getting the suit, cover up, sandals to match, the sunglasses and jewelry to match it all and all I have left to get is a lime green swim bag. The girl is spoiled rotten I tell you… Rotten!!!! But she looked great in it all. As we were walking out of the store I looked at Laura and said… “go on, say it.” She looked at me with the famous ‘blank stare’ look. ‘Go on hun, you have to say it’ I said with the Mom look. Realization dawns on her and she started laughing hysterically. ‘Ok Mom, you were right.. I did find the right suit.’ she said as she gave me a great big hug. And my friends, that hug was worth every penny I spent on her swim gear! Now we just have to get her ready for Prom, Graduation and the Military Ball. God help me! Although the other day we found a dress that I believe will be her ball gown for the Military Ball. It is gorgeous, I have it on hold to pick up this Friday, if she doesn’t change her mind before then. It looks a little like this one here…. She tried it on and I started to tear up. I told her how pretty she looked and she says “Mom, do you like the dress, does it actually look good on me, or are you just talking about your Baby in a Ball gown?” Little smart ass. It was both of course, she looked gorgeous in the dress, but standing there, looking at this grown little woman in this big gorgeous ball gown made me realize that my baby is gone, I am old and she will be pulling away more and more over the next few years. I just realized how grown she was. *sigh* Where does the time go?
