March 06, 2007

With all of the News Media concentration on the wounded soldiers treatment I would like to "highlight" my entry from August 19th. It is a shame that it took a wounded Reporter to finally get people talking about how the wounded soldiers are not being paid what they should, are not getting the treatment they deserve, are either too far from a V A hospital that they cannot access it, or are unable to get there due to the fact that they cannot afford to get there living on... oh I don't know... $500 a month with three kids. But, at least it's out there.
My new motto... Three more weeks... Three more weeks. We are almost through this nightmare. April 1st we will get a good partial check from VA and then May 1st... well May 1st we wont know what to do with ourselves. To actually be able to pay the bills without juggling like a clown on Crack with ADHD will be awesome. To not have to live with the constant sick feeling, the butterflies attacking my stomach, bouncing off the walls and twining together in a random and frantic dance every time the mailbox is opened. Sigh. Finally... we will be back where we were before the Army decided that they had no use for a "broken" soldier and since he could not be fixed, then he had to go. The end is in sight.
